Keto Chow shakes, delicious on their own, but try them in these recipes
I love to bake. I love to create new recipes and new meals. I really love to make desserts. I'm also really, really busy.
I recently bought a starter pack of Keto Chow Shakes meal replacement drink mix pouches. Eyeing those pouches I wondered, could I use those as a basis for a quick dessert? A quick google search showed that yes indeed they can be used in recipes for Chaffles, Mug Cakes, Ice Cream, Popsicles, Cheesecake bars etc.
Keto Chow has tons of recipes.
* disclaimer, I paid for my starter kit. We have an affiliate with them, but the flavors I used here I purchased.
The chaffle craze is real. When I saw the 3 ingredient chaffle recipe and YouTube video I knew that chaffles were my first pick.
If you love chaffles you need to make these Keto Chow chaffles. You seriously NEED to make chaffles using a Keto Chow shake pouch. I used the chocolate flavor and all seven adults in this house agreed it was hands down the best waffle they've ever tasted. Several said it tasted like Wendy's Frosty in a waffle.
The recipe is simple.
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1 pouch Chocolate Keto Chow
I had all the ingredients on hand. The Kerrygold butter was to dollop on top when before eating, although it was buried under the whipped cream in the picture. I used a large waffle maker and the recipe made enough for 2 large waffles.
The perfect dessert after dinner
I had all the ingredients on hand
1 pouch makes 2 large 8" waffles. Top with whipped cream for extra delight
Next up was a mug cake. I used the recipe below with these flavors:
Natural Strawberry Keto Chow and
Snickerdoodle Keto Chow.
I used an air fryer instead of a microwave looking for a baked dessert consistency.
Snickerdoodle mug cake was my absolute favorite. It had a vanilla wafer essence to it
Strawberry mug cake recipe came out tasting just like real strawberry shortcake. This is a keeper
Melt the butter before adding to the bowl. 1T almond flour, 1T butter, 2T Keto Chow, 2T allulose, 1/4t baking powder, 1 egg.
I used a larger ramekin than a cup and it looks beautiful
I cannot believe how easy ice cream is with the Keto Chow shakes. I followed the package directions on how to make the shake in the provided blender to drink as a shake and then frozen in popsicle molds.
Once again, the starter samples did not disappoint on variety. I used the Chocolate Mint Keto Chow flavor. Oh so yummy chocolate mint ice cream.
